Let Freedom Ring Women's Clubs

By A. D. HIRSCH

PIONEER WOMEN

Blow loud your trumpet, Gabriel.
Announcing freedom's call.
F. all of martyred Israel.
And persecuted all.
Your trumpet sounded PharQah's
end,
Foretold of Haman's plot,
Of Egypt's plagues that God would
send,
Ten "pests" to plague the lot.
Again your trumpet blow one blast.
Blow loud and long this time,
The tyrant's doom to spell at last,
and stop his bloody crime.
Let trumpet sound a last death
blow,
To foe of human rights.
A piercing blast to lay them low.
Those cruel Hitlerites.
The sound of freedom blow out
loud,
Let freedom's echo shrill!
The world's oppressed with patience
proud,
Await the sound and thrill.
A note of hope pray sound once

.more,
Redemption let us see,
Enslaved, their liberty restore,
Let free-born men be free!
Hear you the call, the hopeful
sound,
The sound of Jubilee,
Let hope and courage now abound,
Let hope eternal be!
You heard the call, oh Israel,
Of hope by God endowed.
The Easter call from Gabriel.
Keep head up high, unbowed!

NAZIS USING 10,000

Zurich (JTA)—The news that the
Nazis are using thousands of Jews
as guinea pigs in poison gas ex-

Bavarian Catholic priest who
from Germany to this
country. The priest estimated that
about 10.000 Jews and several hun-

SPEED NATURALIZATION
OF JENA/15H DOCTOR

NEW YORK (JPS)—Dr. Louis
Zaretzslrga technically an alien. is
wanted so badly by the 'United
States Medical Corps that orders
have 'seen given to the Bureau of
Immiaration r nd Naturalization of
the :justice Department to cut red
tape and eeclare Zaretzky eligible
for Army service.
The whole story is slightly com-
plex. When Dr. Zaretzky, born in
Russia.39 years ago, applied for a
Medical Corps commission, the army
was happy, for the army needed
him ta take command of the X-
division of,„ Army Base
Hasps _I 3. to be established by Mt;
Sinai Hospital. It was found, how-
ever, that when the doctor's father
WAS naturalized he erroneously gave
the ages of his four sons as one
year more than they were. Dr. Zar -
etzky was then 20, and as a minor
would have received his citizenship
on his father's papers. But he was
listed as 21. Thus he is technically
an alien. The Naturalization Bu-
reau, swamped with such problems,
told him that the Matter could not
be cleared *for at least two and a
fialf years. That's; when Supreme
Court Justice William McGeehan of
the Bronx stepped in.- He ordered
the Bureau to start cutting away
that red tape so that the doctor
can get to work for Uncle Sam.
