PM BLASTS COUGHLIN

In a nine-page spread. PM, lib-
eral New York tabloid, reviews the
career of Charles Coughlin, de-
nounces him as a danger to the
American way of life and advocates
that the people of the United States
write to Attorney General Francis
Biddle about the Fascist and anti-
Semite. Stating that "PM makes no
recommendations as to what steps
should be taken to protect the Am-
erican people from Charles Cough-
lin and Social Justice", the news-
paper presents evidence proving
that Social Justice is seditious and
that Couglin is against the United
States in this war. .
PM features a page which is to
be ripped out and sent to the At-
torney General by readers who be-
lieve something should be done
about Coughlin.
The FBI was asked to investigate
Charles Coughlin's Social Justice on
ground of a link between the weekly
and the German-American Bund
in a complaint submitted by the
Non-Sectarian Anti-Nazi League.
