Activities
Passover Pamphlet:
A Passover souvenir pamphlet
has been printed by the United
Hebrew Schools in cooperation
with the B. Manischewitz Metzo
Company. It contains the explana-
tions of the Passover symbols and
ceremonies, the order of the Seder,
and talks to parents on the subject
of Jewish education. This pamph-
let may be obtained free of charge
by applying at any one of the of-
fices of the United Hebrew Schools,
or through the local Manischewitz
dealer, Abraham Sharp of the Heb-

The Parkside P.T.A. will have
Third Seder program on Sunday
evening,-April 5th. It will consist
of a miniature Seder featuring all
the ceremonies and observances.

Passover in the Hebrew Schools:
During the two weeks preceeding
Passover, children in the Hebrew
Schools study Passover's history,
its developments and its observ-
ances. In the lower grades child-
ren were taught the reading of the
Hagadah. In the higher classes a
thorough study is more of the por-
tion of Chumosh dealing with
Pesach, as well as a study of the
laws of the holiday. They also read
" the Hagadah and sing Pesach
songs.

Gemarah Classes:
Two new classes in the study of
Gemarah opened in Viso/ Philadel-
phia-Byron and David W. Simons
branches of the United Hebrew
Schools. This increases the num-
ber of Memarah classes to live—in
the David W. Simons, two classes;
in the Philadelphia-Byron, two;
and in the Rose Sittig Cohen, one.
The total number of children study-
ing Gemarah at the present time
in the United Hebrew Schools is
36. Rabbi Leiser Levin is the in-
structor of the Gemarah classes.

The Parent-Teachers' Associa-
tion of the Hebrew school located
in Central High School have made
arrangements to have special child-
ren's services on Saturday morn-
ing, March 28, Sabbath Hagodol.
Parents have been invited to these
special services. Members of the
P.T.A. are making every effort to
interest parents in the Sabbath
Minyon held in the Bnal David
Synagogue, 14th and Elmhurst,
conducted by the children under
the supervision of the staff. Mrs.
Samuel Gaull is the president of
the P.T.A. Rudolph Shulman will
extend greetings to the children
and their parents. Meyer Mathis
is the principal of the school.

attend Sabbath morning services,
Monday, March 30, during regular
Hebrew school hours. Sabbath
