During the coming summer as
in the past two years, the United
Hebrew Schools will sponsor a
summer program for its students.
Each morning, Monday through
Friday, the children will assemble
at 9:30 a.m. in their respective
schools and the day's activities
will begin with morning services
conducted by the students them-
selves.
Afterwards, they will work in
groups on various projects, the
central theme of which wild be,
"The Development of the Jewish
Community in Detroit." This is in
connection with the 250th anni-
versary of Detroit. The aim of
the project is to deal with Jew-
ish contributions to Detroit, and
emphasis will be laid upon va-
rious local Jewish personalities,
past and present.
Special arrangements have been
made to make it possible for those
who did not complete the year's
work to make it up so that they
will continue in their regular
grades next fall.
The program will begin on
Monday and continue until Fri-
day, July 27.

Hi there! Three weeks ago I
wrote a number of letters to the
different chapters in the state.
They were Grand Rapids, Benton
Harbor, Lansing, Flint and Pon-
tiac.
In these letters I invited the
presidents to send me bits of
news about their chapters to be
printed in this column. Last week
I received the first answer. It was
Pontiac BBG. The reporter is
Edith Eilender.
Edith stated in part, "Here in
Pontiac the latest fad is a lob-
ster red sunburn." Also the Pon-
tiac BBG's are planning a picnic
to Cass Dodge Park on June 23.
This will end the winter season
for them,. A chapter from Flint
will be invited.

Each member performed in a skit
about AZA. Following the dinner
each father was presented with

AZA 313 is considering having
