The United Jew i s h Folk
Schools is accepting registration
for new children in all grades in
the elementary school as well as
in the kindergarten.
The children that are now at-
tending school have to re-regis-
ter. Applicatioi s. for registration
were mailed to all parents, and
they are requested to return
them to the school, 13722 Lin-
wood.
The following curriculum will
be taught: modern Hebrew,
speaking, reading and writing.
Jewish, reading, writing, con-
versation, Jewish literature, Jew-
ish history, Bible and prayers.
Jewish traditions and customs
and Jewish and Hebrew singing.
All the Jewish holidays are ob-
served and meanings taught.

Brandeis U. Women's Group
to Hold National Convention

The Nation Women's Com-
mittee for Brandeis University
held its third annual conference
June 16-20 at the university.
Mrs. Oscar Zenon, president
of the Detroit Chapter, and her
first vice-president, Mrs. Leonard
Kasle, attended the conference.
Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt was
one of the keynote speakers.
Mrs. Roosevelt is a member of
the board of trustees.
Dr. Robert Hutchins, former
head of the University of Chi-
cago, now director of the Ford
foundation, gave the convocation.
On Tuesday, June 26, the of-
ficers and board members of the
Detroit Chapter will meet at the
Franklin Hills Country Club, at
which time Mrs. Kasle will give
a full report of the conference
proceedings.

this community.

friends of Brandeis University

book fund to commemorate oc-
