Jones, Mrs. Julian H. Krolik and
Mrs. Alexander W. Sanders, vice-
presidents, Mrs. Philip Marcuse,
recording secretary; Mrs. M. Kalt,
corresponding secretary; and Mrs.
Max Frank and Mrs, Leonard H.
Weiner, representatives to the
Federation board of governors.
Seven women have been nom-
inated for re-election to the di-

of Temple Israel attended a con-
ference of leading churchmen of
the country to define the religious
aspect of civil defense to meet

Rabbi Fram represented the
Synagogue Council of America
which speaks for orthodox and
conservative as well as liberal
Jewish congregations.
The conference was held in
Washington, D. C. Rabbi Frain
will deliver a report at the Sab-
bath eve services Friday night,
June 15 when he will speak on
the subject "The Encounter Be-
tween Faith and the Atom."

Graduation Rites

At the United Jewish Folk
Schools the pupils are preparing
themselves for the graduation
exercises to be held at 8:30 p. m.
Sunday at the Labor Zionist In-
stitute, 13722 Linwood.
The graduates wiil give a skit
calleA,"Grosse Leit" and will read
excerpts from Yiddish classics.
After diplomas are distributed
to the graduates, a scholarship
will be given to the most out-
standing student for a week's stay
at Farband Camp.
Members of the school board
will serve refreshments. Parents
and friends are invited.
Registrations for the fall term
are being taken now. The office
will be open from 9 a. m. to 5
p. m., Monday through Friday.
