Adas Shalom Synagogue's an-
nual confirmation service will be
held at 10 a. m. Sunday, June 17
in the main auditorium.
Twenty-one girls who have
satisfactorily completed their
Hebrew studies and Religious
School requirements will parti-
cipate in a service blending
music, art and drama.
The program, prepared under
the supervision of Rabbi Jacob
E. Segal, will be dedicated to the
theme of "Tora."
The confirmands will ,present
the cantata, "What is Tora?"
composed by Judith and Ira
Eisenstein and conducted by
Cantor Nicholas Fenakel.
Musical accompaniment will be
provided by Lillian Robbins Zell-
man at the piano and a string
quartet from the Detroit Sym-
phony Orchestra, under the
leadership of Michael Bistritzky.
Robert Lawrence, well-known
decorative artist, has designed the
stage settings, scenic effects and
lighting for the cantata and the
floral offerings.
Admission to reserved sections
will be by ticket only. The doors
will open at 9 a. m. and close at
9:50 a. m.

Israelis Join Staff of Camp Kinneret

Camp Kinneret which is lo-
cated near Chelsea, Mich. is one
of the 13 summer camps under
the direction of the Habonim
Camping Association in the
United States and Canada and is
the first camp to be Hebrew-
speaking in this vicinity.
