DETROIT JEWISH CHRONICLE
were the kids who did such a
magnificent job on the court.
Harry Kwiker, athletic director
o Bnai Moshe Synagogue, the
new champs, accepted the win-
ners trophy on behalf of his kids.
The future Mikans who didn't
win awards were presented with
small Bibles. To Kwiker, and the
men working with him for a
better community — WELL
DONE! And, don't stop.

collegiate sport headlines these
days.
Shelly Fink, a shortstop from
Chicago, is captain of the Wis-
consin nine, defending co-champs

tied him for slugging honors with
other players in the loop.
Irving Bemoras, another windy
city boy, was chosen on the
NCAA second team hoop squad
after sparking the Illinois cagers
during the playoffs.
A regular all last year, Be-
moras made all-state in high
school.
Four of the starting six men
for the "M" tennis squad are
Jewish. Number two man is
Windsor's Steve Bromberg. Last
year, he teamed with Dick Lin-
coln to cop a western conference
doubles crown.
Gene Barrack, a New Jersey
sophomore is number three man
on the team, Mike Schwartz, a
Mbunt Clemens junior, runner-up
for the state championship in
