S. and Kol Zion in Israel simultaneously transmitted the program. The initial broadcast, sched- uled in observance of the Pass- over holiday, was written and produced in Israel. An American radio audience of about six million heard the broadcast in English, while list- eners to Kol Zion in Israel and the Middle East heard the drama in Hebrew and English.
