who in a few minutes ...an hour... will put fear
and oppression behind them as they wing their way on a giant
plane to the welcoming land of Israel.

You gave them this chance to find freedom. Your contribution to the
United . Jewish Appeal helped to pay for the planes and ships which
in three years have brought half a million Jewish refugees to Israel.

• But for every life saved, another is still in danger.

Today, NOW, 200,000 Jews who bear on their minds and bodies the
scars of every dictator the modern world has known, wait in Eastern
Europe and in the hostile Arab lands—wait for rescue.

Anxious eyes turn to the clock and calendar. For now the tyrant
they fear most is TIME. Suddenly, they have received permission to
emigrate. But tomorrow, the exit doors may slam shut. It has happened
to others—it can happen to them. Time is running out.

Will the ships and planes which are needed for their rescue arrive
before it is too late to save them from danger and oppression?

Well will they?

The answer must come from you, through your contribution to the
United Jewish Appeal.

Give now, before time runs out. And give more than ever beforel
