Dr. Jonah Wise to Address
Temple Sisterhoods Parley

Dr. Jonah B. Wise, nationally
known rabbi of New York's Cen-
tral Synagogue and son of Rabbi
Isaac M. Wise, the founder of
Liberal Judaism in this country,
will be the guest speaker at the
banquet of the annual convention
of the Michigan State Federation
of Temple Sisterhoods at 7 p.m.,
Monday, i.pril 30, at the Book
Cadillac Hotel.

The convention will open at 9
a.m., Monday, April 30, and all
sessions of the dray and the lun-
cheon will be held at Temple
Israel.
The proceedings of the day, at
which Mrs. Samuel B. Danto,
president of the Michigan State
Federation of Temple Sisterhoods,
will preside, will consist of
greetings by Mrs. M. George
Wayburn, president of the Sister-
hood of Temple Beth El and Mrs.

Pontiac; Mrs. Harry Landsman
and Mrs. William Greenwald of
the Sisterhood of Temple Israel,
writer and commentator respec-
tively of a pageant, "The Ameri-
can Woman;" Mrs. Lawrence
Freedman of the Sisterhood of
Temple Beth El; and Mrs. Marvel
Brown of Grand Rapids, past
president of the Michigan Fed-
eration.
