Spiritual Leader Appointed
by Congregation. Beth Moses

Congregation Beth Moses, Lin-
wood at Oakman Court, an-
nounces the appointment of
Rabbi Isidor Schneebalg as its
spiritual leader.
"We hope to establish a re-
ligious, cultural and educational
center for the Jewish population
concentrated in the neighborhood
of our new synagogue," Emil
Kahan, president of the congre-
gation, stated.
Rabbi Schneebalg formerly oc-
cupied a pulpit in Harrisburg,
Pa., and was Jewish chaplain of
the Pennsylvania State Reforma-
tory. He received his rabbinical
training at the Mirrer Rabbini-
cal College, and his secular edu-
cation, leading to a master's de-

Sanford Walcon of Rex 309 of
AZA bowled a 300 game recently.
It was done at the Varsity on

Bnai David 314 is planning
their fourth annual Seder to be
held on Thursday, April 26.
Alan Cantor Aleph Club will
receive their charter any day. The
charter will make them an offi-
cial AZA chapter.
AZA 313 went to Pontiac to
play Pontiac 292 in a basketball
game. Score: 55 to 54 favor 313.
The date of April 14 has been
set for the Windsor BBG "Crystal
Ball" to be held in Windsor.

Local Story Slated
by Eternal Light

On Sunday, April 8, the NBC List Meetings
"Eternal Light" program, spon-

aired by the Jewish , Theological
Seminary, will be devoted to a
dramatic episode which took
place - a year ago at Adas Shalom
Synagogue (Northwest Hebrew
Congregation) in Detroit.
The dramatization, entitled
"The Call to the Torah," was
written by Iry Tunick, a play-
wright on the staff of the "Eter-
nal Light."
The script was based on a true
life story suggested to NBC by
Rabbi Jacob E. Segal, spiritual
leader of Adas Shalom.
The broadcast will be heard in
Detroit over Station WWJ at 8
a.m., Sunday, April 15.

The Labor Zionist Movement
in Detroit is arranging services in
memory of the late Isaac Zemel
at 2:30 p.m., Sunday at the Labor
Zionist Institute, 13722 Linwood.
Representatives of all divisions
of the movement: the . Central
Committee of L.Z.O.A., the City
Committee of the Farband, Labor
Zionist Order, and the Council of
Pioneer Women will offer eulo-
gies on the personality and role
that Isaac Zemel played in the
Zionist movement. Readings of
