in America. Detroit Pioneer Women will celebrate on April 8
World Jewish Child's Day through a city-wide cannister canvass
to raise money for the care of infant children and youth in Israel.
Pioneer Women and its sister organization, the Moatzat Hapoalot,
the largest women's volunteer organization in Israel, are respon-
sible for the care, education and emotional well-being of thous-
ands of Youth Aliyah children in all types of children's and
youth institutions. The Detroit committee will be headed by
Martha Schechter, chairman, Mina Herman, co-chairman and the
following committee: Sara Levin, Estell Wilk, Min Ilurwitz, Mae
Berman, Lillian Zeldis, Helen Tukel, Fay Plotnick, Fay Rovin,
Helen Posner, Martha Maurice, Rose Sarasohn, Eva Basin and
Dora Ross.

Adler to End Yiddish Series

The fourth and final Yiddish
cultural program, sponsored by
the Joint Yiddish Culture Corn-
mittee of the Jewish Community
Council and the Jewish Com-
munity Center, will be held at
8:30 p.m., Sunday in the Center.
Rabbi Morris Adler, of Congre-
