Hadassah, will be built high on
a site in Jerusalem, given to
IIadassah by the Jewish National
Fund at the request of the gov-
ernment of Israel.
The first two structures of the
Center will be a 450-bed hospital
and a school nursing.
Detroit Hadassah has assumed
financial responsibility for the
orthopedic department of the
hospital. Several substantial con-
tributions have already been
received.
However, provision has been
made to enable smaller givers to
also have a share in this historic
enterprise, by purchasing a
square foot of space in the Medi-
cal Center for $25; and as many
as five people may purchase one
square foot by each paying $5.
Appropriate certificates will be
given. The signatures of all who
"buy" a square foot of space will
be microfilmed, enclosed in a
silver receptable and placed in

amount can be sent to the CARE-
UNESCO Book Fund, J. L. Hud-
son Company, Crowley-Milner
Company, and the Sears, Roe-
buck stores in Detroit, and
should be clearly marked for
either scientific or children's
books.
Donors of $10 or mo ,.e may

Kvutzah Ivrith to Hold

The Kvutzah, the Hebrew Cul-
tural Group of Detroit, have
completed plans for an Issac Loeb
Peretz evening to take place at
8:30 p.m. Feb. 1 in the Rose
Sittig Cohen Bldg.
This year marks the 100th An-
niversary of the birth of this
literary genius who created in
Hebrew and Yiddish.
The evening will feature ad-
dresses on Peretz by Movsas
Goldoftas and Bernard Isaacs
and readings by Moshe Haar.
