Tea-ing Off on Drive Council Delegates to See Film

on Reds, Hear Talk on Bias

Jewish Community Council
delegates will convene at 8:30
p.m., Thursday at the Dexter-
Davison Center.
The meeting will be opened
with the U. S. Army film, "Com-
munism."
The Assembly will hear an
address by George Kellman, di-
rector of the investigative divi-
sion of the American Jewish
Committee. Kellman's subject
will be "Prejudice Is a Business
—A Look at the Inside of Or-
ganized Anti-Semitism in the
U. S."
Also featured will be a presen-

The Detroit Council of Pioneer Women have begun a silver
jubilee membership drive. The membership committee is shown
planning a series of teas to be given by the 13 chapters in honor
of Dvora Mitlitsky, Israeli representative. The highlight of the
drive will be a membership luncheon and fashion show to be
held in March to which all new members will be invited. Shown

Agency has published a book,

of the Jewish Welfare Federa•
tion will be asked to take 10 slips
in the 1951 Allied Jewish Cam-
paign. Plans for young adult
participation in the campaign
are now being arranged by the
Community Service Committee,
under the chairmanship of Mil-

Music Festival
Will Present
Cantor Meisels

Cantor Saul Meisels, interpre-
ter of Hebrew and Riddish folk
songs, as well as liturgical music,
will be featured on the Jewish
Music Festival Program, spon-
scored by the Joint Yiddish Cul-
ture Committee, it was an-
nounced by Benjamin Laikin and
Joy Rosenshine, co-chairman.
The concert will be held in the
Jewish Community Center at 8:30
p.m., Feb. 25.
Appearing with Cantor Meisels
will be the Center Dance Group,
under the direction of Fannie
Aronson. Also featured on this
program will be Herbert Sorkin,
violinist.
Tickets have already been dis-
tributed to all organizations of
the Jewish Community Council
and individuals belonging to the
Center. Additional tickets may
be obtained through the Jewish
Community Council or the Jew-
ish Community Center.
