Segel Sara Lee Eichler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Eichler, became the bride of Louis Segel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Max Segel, on Sunday afternoon, Oct. 15, at Congregation Beth Tefilo Eman- l. abbi Joshua Sperka per-' ue ll formed the ceremony. Mrs. Abraham Pelton, sister of the groom, was matron of honor while Harry Segel, brother of the groom, was best man. Bridesmaids were Lydia Eich- ler and Shirley Eichler, sisters of the bride. Ushers were Joseph Segel, brother of the groom, and Alvin Eichler, brother of the bride; the ringbearer was Shelley Segel, nephew of the goom. The bride's gown of white satin was fashioned with a high Chinese neckline and fitted to the hip line in a long torso effect. Her fingertip veil fell from a crown of pearl trim. She carried a white orchid on a Bible. Mr. and Mrs. Segel spent their 1 honeymoon in New York and now are residing at 2484 Cort- land avenue. Muriel Garvin, Louis Jacobs Wed MRS. Pollack of Webb avenue, became the bride of Lawrence Eisenberg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Max Eisenberg of Clements avenue, at a candlelight ceremony at the Fort Wayne Hotel, Sunday, Nov. 26. Rabbi Jacob Segal officiated. The bride wore a gown of blue satin, styled with a long pointed collar, long sleeves and a skirt ending in a train. Her veil was ice blue illusion fastened to a Juliet cap. She carried white orchids and stephanotis attached to a white Bible. Mrs. Leon London, sister of the groom, served as matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Mrs. Richard Gold, Madilyn Imber, Joyce Hochman, Marcia Wilber and Lorraine Friedman. Andria Waxman was junior bridesmaid and Susan Waxman was flower girl. The couple was attended by Burton Smith, as best man, Larry Agree, Obbie Friedman, Les Weiner, Jordan Mellen, and Jordan Pollack, brother of the bride, served as ushers. Gary Eisenberg served his brother as junior usher. The couple is honeymooning in Miami Beach, Fla. He's the Talk of the Town! Rabbi Morris Adler performed the ceremony in the presence of the immediate family. A dinner and reception followed the cere- mony. The bride, daughter of Mrs. Benjamin Garvin of Tuxedo ave- nue and the late Mr. Garvin, chose a ballerina length gown of ice blue lace over satin. A veil of illusion fell from her cap of blue satin. She carried a bouquet of white roses and baby mums. Mrs. Nathan Garvin was ma- tron of honor and Sidney Jacobs served his brother as best man. The couple left for a honey- moon in Miami Beach, and will reside on Tuxedo' avenue upon their return. Chronicle Culinary Corner By EDITH GOODMAN Mrs. Fanny Harris of Chicago boulevard, sends us a very tasty sweet-and-sour-cabbage soup recipe which she suggests for a cold winter day—as just something to "hit the spot." We are sure you will enjoy it. SWEET AND SOUR CABBAGE SOUP To serve six: 1 medium size cabbage 2 fresh tomatoes cut in small pieces 1 1 /2 teaspoons salt 1 teaspoon pepper 1 teaspoon of sweet paprika Nt cup of vinegar Take the cabbage and cut in small pieces and scald with boiling water. Cover in pot with cold water. Add tomatoes, cut up. Add salt, pepper, and paprika. Then add the N cup of vinegar and enough sugar to suit your taste. Saute a medium sized onion sliced in one tablespoon of hot chicken fat. When light brown add two tablespoons of flour. Add to the cabbage soup.
