Engagement Announced

At a dinner on Nov. 26, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph H. Coh,In of
Phoenix, Ariz., announced the engagement of their daughter, Joyce
Ann, to Bernard Arnhowitz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Max Amhowitz of
Leslie avenue.

At a recent family gathering, Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Rosen of
LaSalle boulevard announced the engagement of their daughter,
Dorothy, to Mack L. Pitt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Pitt of Calvert
avenue. Miss Rosen attended Wayne University and Mr. Pitt studied
music in the east.



Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Franovitz of Collingwood, announce the
engagement of their niece, Belle Franovitz of Collingwood avenue,
to Julius Schlesinger of Detroit. Plans are being made for a Feb.
4 wedding.



Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Gorman, now residing in Los Angeles,

Applebaum of New Haven, Conn. The couple plans an early spring

series of Community Clinics, the
women's division of the Jewish
Welfare Federation has set Tues-
day as the date of its first neigh-
borhood discussion meeting.
Similar to the Community Clin-
ics held last year, the new series
is designed to give women an op-
portunity to meet with their
neighbors to learn how the Jew-
ish community is organized to
provide its present services, to
discuss what additional services
are needed and to study how
these additional facilities can be
secured.
