Weds at Northwest

Mr. and Mrs. Jacob D. Shuman
of Burlingame avenue announce
the marriage of their daughter,
Merle, to Jack Solway, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Samuel Solway of Wind-
sor.
The ceremony was performed
Nov. 19 at the bride's home by
Rabbi Jacob Segal.
The bride was attended by Mrs.
Harvey Gross and the groom's
brother, Frank, was best man.
Following a honeymoon in
Florida, the couple will reside at
3228 Burlingame avenue.

In a double ring ceremony,
Erma Averbuch and Sherman
Zeldes spoke their vows on Sun-
day, Nov. 19, at the Northwest
Hebrew Congregation. Rabbi Se-
gal officiated, assisted by Cantor
Fenakel.
The bride who is the daughter
of Mrs. Ann Averbuch of Mc-
Quade avenue, chose for the
ceremony, a candlelight satin
gown with sweetheart neckline
trimmed in seed pearls. Her illu-
sion veil of fingertip length and
Bible of white orchids and lily
of the valley completed her cos-
tume.
Carolyn Averbuch, sister of the
bride, was maid of honor. Matron
of honor was Mrs. Ben Rubens,
aunt of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Camille Reu-
bin, Harriet Noohman and Zelda
Zeldes.
Best man for the bridegroom,
whose parents are the Jack
Zeldes of Hazelwood avenue, was
Simon Zeldes. Ushers were Joe
Hacker, Elliott a n d Norman
Zeldes.
Following a two week honey-
moon in Florida, the couple will
reside on McQuade avenue.
