Obituaries

Twenty-four facsimile repro-
ductions of the pastel drawings of
the Bible (Genesis) by Abel
Pann, well known artist of Jew-
ish themes, will be on exhibit at
the 3nai Moshe social hall on
Sunday morning and Tuesday
evening.
This exhibit is accompanied by
an a(i litional book of the works
of Abel Pann, containing 24 orig-
inal lithographs entitled, "In the
Name of the Czar." Other ma-
terial by Pann contained in the
exhibit is the album, "The Tear
Jug," which presents the artists'
protest against Jewish suffering
after World War I.
The 24 prints in the album in-
clude studies of Jews in Cossak
Pogroms, and in the aftermath of
the terror.
This exhibit is brought to De-
troit from New York 'City by the
Bnai Moshe Religious School, and
Adult School.
Walter Farber, director, Mit-
chell Feldman, chairman of the
school board, and Rabbi Moses
Lehrman are in charge of the ex-
hibit series. There is no charge.

ed 135 new members at a special
breakfast held on Sunday, Nov.
19 in the synagogue.
The guest at this breakfast
was Rabbinical Assembly of
America.
Others participating in the
ceremony were Rabbi Benjamin
H. Gorrelick, who inducted the
new officers; Dr. Marvin A. Last,
president of Beth Aaron; Samuel
L. Schneider, president of Beth
Aaron's Men's Club; Samuel I.
Freedman, vice-president of Beth
Aaron and Al M. Fenkell who
presented the new members.
Presiding at this meeting was
Harry Green, the membership
chairman.
