Mrs. William Valensky, fund-
raising chairman, announces that
the following fund-raising work-
ers have reached the goal in ads ' -
and tickets sold for their chapter
and therefore are invited to a
victory luncheon to be held in

Howell, Art Levine, Paul Low-

The lodge's bingo party will
be held on Nov. 25 at Elk's
Hall, Cass and Elizabeth, and
any member who wishes to con-
tribute any gift is requested to
contact the Pisgah office before
Nov. 20. Proceeds from the
party will be used for support
of Bnai Brith activities. Sam
Maza, Sam Atlas, Milt Weinstein
and Meyer Leib, chairmen of
various divisions of the bingo
party reported that upwards of
two thousand tickets had been
distributed to members and that
a major portion of these were
already sold.

The lodge will hold its annual
feather party at 8:30 p.m., Sunday
at Jericho Hall, 11331 Linwood.
There will be a number of gifts,
including a door prize, and the
donation is 50 cents.

Tikvah Chapter

Mrs. Jack Raisin, president, an-
nounces a square dance will be
held jointly with Tikvah Lodge
at Northwest Synagogue at 8:30
p.m., Nov. 28. Bert Pryor and his
orchestra will furnish the music.
Admission will be paid-up mem-
bership cards or anyone who
would like to attend may pay
their dues at the door. Mrs. Leon-
ard Heinberg, chairman and Mrs.
Edward Barak co-chairman are
sewing cancer pads every Tues-
day at the home of Mrs. Wein-
berg, 19165 Freeland. Sessions
start at 12:30 p.m. The cancer
pad group is expanding and sew-
ing sessions are also held every
Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. at the
home of Mrs. Lester Wolfe, 19309

Beginning a study of each of
the local services which the
Community Service Committee
helps to support through its
Allied Jewish Campaign fund-
raising activities, the committee
heard a report last Thursday on
the programs of the Jewish Com-
munity Center from Harold
Weiss, supervisor of the Aaron
Delloy
Community Service Committee
board members had an oppor-
tunity to meet with their newly-
appointed director, James Senor,
who will give professional guid-
ance to the group as it plans
for and participates in the Allied
Jewish Campaign.
For the past month the com-
mittee has been working on
Torch Drive solicitation. Milton
Lucow, president, and Avern
Cohen, vice-president, served as
co-chairmen.
The Community Service Com-
mittee is a member of the Jew-
ish Young Adult Council of De-
troit and serves as the junior
division in the annual Allied
Jewish Campaigns.

A joint membership jamboree
will be sponsored by the lodge
and chapter at 8:30 p.m., Monday,
Nov. 27 at Jericho Temple. Chair-
men Frances and Bob Katz an-
nounce that Mrs. Frances Solo-
vich, vice-president of the Bnai
Brith Women's Supreme Council,
and Alfred H. Bounin, president
of Pisgah Lodge, will be the prin-
cipal speakers. Entertainment
will be provided by Mickey and
Sam Woolf, with Max Sosin as
master of ceremonies. Refresh-
ments will be served. There are
openings for bowlers in the lodge

Albert Berger, president of
the lodge, announces that Sid-
ney Dine, liason officer for the
lodge, and Mrs. Moe Miller,
liason officer for the chapter,
are working out details for corn-
bined affairs. The main event,
the Anniversary Party, is now
in the formative stage. At the
next lodge meeting Tuesday cer-
tificates of merit will be award-
ed. The fund raising committee,
under the chairmanship of Louis
Garber, will report on the status
of the Anniversary Year Book.
