Mrs. Alfred Gordon of Santa Rosa avenue, recently sent us a
very delightful recipe for Chiffon Cake. We found it delicious and
very simple to make.

The Equality Club will meet at
the home of Louba Lupiloff, 1974
Tuxedo avenue. Plans will be
made for the donor luncheon to
be held Dec. 19 at the Mayfair
Room.

CHIFFON CAKE

Ten eggs, 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar, juice of whole orange, 2
tablespoons of oil, Y2 cup nuts, 1 teaspoon of cream of tartare.
Separate eggs. Add juice of orange and oil to the egg yolks.
Set aside. Then beat whites of eggs with sugar until stiff.
Sift flour and cream of tartare three times. Add to yolk mixture.
Then fold egg whites into batter and mix well. Roll nuts very fine
and add to batter.
Grease a 10-inch round pan and pour batter into it. Bake for
15 minutes in :150-degree oven, then for 30 minutes in 325-degree
oven until done.
