Jakob Gimpel, a brilliant
young pianist from Lemberg, Po-
land, was presented by the Tues-
day Musicale of Detroit at nusic
Hall Oct. 27. This young artist
has a background of many suc-
cessful solo appearances in Eu-
rope. He served as accompanist
for the late Bronislaw Huber-
man, and in this country has
been appointed a piano soloist
at the M. G. M. studios in Hol-
lywood.
