Morgenthau Lodge

summer campaign in the Iry
Davis membership class will be
conducted by the lodge deputy,
Louis E. Barden. The champion-
ship trophy of the Greater De-
troit Bnai Brith Baseball Asso-
ciation for this year will be
presented to the lodge, and each
player will also receive a trophy
and medal. Trophies will also
be awarded to the golf champions
of the lodge, Sam Rodd (low
ball) and Sam Schecter (handi-
cap). Following a short business
meeting, refreshments will be
served.

Wayne Offers
Hebrew Study

Courses in modern Hebrew will
again be offered at Wayne Uni-
versity this year. Hebrew I, the
beginners course, will be given
on two days each week, Tuesday
and Thursday, from 4:30 - 6:30
p.m.

by Sabbath League

The Women's Sabbath League
will open its season of activities
with an Oneg Shabbat to take
place at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at
the Young Israel Youth Center.
The guest speaker of the after-
noon will be Rabbi Samuel Prero,
the director of Young Israel, who
will speak on "Returning to Basic
Judaism."
A program of Sabbath songs
will be presented and a social
hour and refreshments will corn-
plete the afternoon to which all
women are cordially invited.
A committee consisting of Mes-
dames L. Kaplan, A. 0. Barsky,
B. Schneider and B. Leader are
in charge of arrangements.
