Frisch Chapter Presidency
Goes from Husband to Wife

The three main events of the
women's division of the Jewish
Welfare Federation for the coin-
ing season were announced at
the final meeting of the division's
board.
The first is the annual meeting
on Friday, Sept. 29. The others
are the 50th anniversary of the
United Jewish Charities on Nov.
28, for which the women's divi-
sion will join with Federation
in the celebration, and the fifth
annual institute of the women's
division on Jan. 31.
Board members heard Mrs.
Joseph G. Fenton •review a re-
port on "The Problems of Ab-
sorbing Immigrants in Israel."
The report was prepared by
Harold Glasser of the Institute
on Overseas Studies which,
through the Council of Jewish
Federations and Welfare Funds,
is a beneficiary of the Allied
JeWish Campaign.
Other business of the meeting
included reports from the cam-
paign, program and education
committees of the women's divi-
sion with plans for 1950-51 and
a discussion of the proposed con-
stitutional amendments which
will be voted upon at the divi-
sion's meeting on Sept. 29.
