50th Anniversary

Plans are being made to cele-
brate the 50th anniversary of
the United Jewish Charities on
Tuesday, Nov. 28, at the Book-
Cadillac Hotel, Theodore Levin,
president of the UJC, announced
this week.
The United Jewish Charities
was the first central organization
for philanthropic work in Detroit
and is now the property holding
corporation of the Jewish Wel-
fare Federation. Its object is to
accept, hold and disburse monies
and other property for charitable
purposes, and to support and en-
courage the work and program
of the Jewish Welfare Federation
of Detroit and its constituent
agencies.

Doctor L. F. SIMON is a qual-
ified physician and surgeon
seeking the office of Wayne
County Coroner. lie is a reg-
istered pharmacist in the State
of Michigan and he also holds
a degree of Doctor of Public
Health.
