Weds at Bel-Aire
Grass Lake, Mich.
The Camp Chelsea setup (there
is only one other camp like it in
Michigan) allows mother and
children to eat their cake and
have it too, in a camping sense.
They maintain family ties at
mealtimes and bedtimes. But at
playtime, which is the rest of the
day, mothers and children form
separate groups, each with their
own counselors.
The camp also welcomes moth-
ers without children and adult
women. Facilities are provided
for visiting fathers or husbands.
Registration 'fees for the next
camp session which begins Aug.
1 are $28 weekly for adult mem-
bers of the Jewish Center and
$20 for member children, $36 and
$25 for non-members. Children
from three to seven are accom-
modated. Registrations are ac-
cepted at the Woodward Center,
TR. 5-8400 and the 12th Street
Center, TY. 8-6000.
