MUNICH-(WNS)-Fear bor-
dering on panic is the lot of the
Jewish DPs in Germany as the
war flames in Korea are pro-
iecting hot shadows over the po-
litical situation in Europe.
Without exception, the sur-
vivors of Hitler's slaughter house
are determined to leave Germany
as quickly as possible. Hundreds
of Jews who returned from Israel
are said to be ruing the day of
their decision since Israel's doors
will not readily open to immi-

welfare, child care, health and
recreation during 1949, figures

which offer group work, informal
education and recreation services.
A total of 186,232 services were
given in youth organizations,
community centers and camps.
The figure includes recreation for
both children and adults,
Red Feather outpatient depart-
ments, clinics and nursing ser-
vices gave 74,779 units of service
to ill adults and children in
Metropolitan Detroit.
Family welfare services, aid to
the handicapped, aid to the trav-
eler and care of the aged ac-
counted for 39,909 units of Red
Feather service during the year.
The institutional care, foster
home care and maternity home
care gave 14,546 services to our
neglected, dependent and orph-
aned children.
