FROM ONE OF OUR READERS . . .
8935 Linwood, Detroit 6, Mich.
May 28, 1950

DEAR SIR:
The legend, "Chronicle Wont Ads Bring Results,"
was illustrated the other day in the following case.
A relative of mine was badly in need of a room. He
came to me for assistance. I immediately thought of the
Chronicle. Fortunately, a neighbor had the latest issue.
I checked the classified section, mode a few phone calls,
and, presto! a suitable room was located.
Very truly yours,
NORMAN KATZ

Israeli Experts
See U. S. Industry

NEW YORK- ( Speci al )-Forty-
flve Israeli industrial workers,
foremen and technicians are leav-
ing for their homeland tomor-
row after an eleven-week study
of American industrial methods.
Members of the group visited.
200 factories throughout the
United States.
Aaron Gilat, production engi-
neer for the General Federation
of Jewish Labor in Israel, was
spokesman for the group yester-
day in an interview at the Israel
Consulate General's offices, 11
East Seventieth street.
He said the group chiefly
studied small factories here com-
parable in size to those in Israel.
Praising American production
methods, Mr. Gilat said the group
would recommend the adoption of
some of them in Israel.
He said he hoped their adop-
tion would increase Israeli pro-
duction, thereby improving its
economy in the face of its large-
scale immigration.

vegetables. •
