his second piano concerto recital

A victory rally of Detroit's
Allied Jewish Campaign work-
ers has been set for Monday
evening, June 26, at the Jewish
Community Center.
Campaign solicitation will
continue right up to the finish
line, Harvey II. Goldman, trade
and professions chairman, an-
nounced, as workers strive to
boost to the maximum Detroit's
total for overseas and home
needs.
With $1,150,000 reported at
the final luncheon, campaign-
ers have already raised more
than in any previous year ex-
cept 1948 and 1949.

stalled as president of the Jewish
National Fund Council,
Expressing satisfaction at Lai-
kin's acceptance of the leader-
ship of the Jewish National Fund
in Detroit, Irving W. Schlussel,
outgoing president and newly
elected chairman of the adminis-
trative board, said:
"Mr. Laik in's acceptance to
serve as president of the Council
of the Jewish National Fund is a
source of encouragement, as his
experience, background, knowl-
