Mrs. Max Madorsky sent us an old Jewish dish brought to America in 1900 b7 a Jewish family from Spain. We hope you like it. ARROZ ESPANOL 'SPANISH RICE) Serve with dairy or meat—optional. 21/2 size can of stewed tomatoes 1 small onion—diced 1 small green pepper—diced 1 cup uncooked long grain white rice Salt and pepper to taste. On top of your stove in sauce pan put the stewed tomatoes. Simmer over a very slow flame. Add diced onion and diced pepper to the tomatoes. Wash rice and add uncooked tomatoes. Rice should not stick to your pan. Stir frequently. Add salt and pepper to taste. Cook about 45 minutes. Serve for a dairy dinner with grated cheese.
