Did ADL Expect Buttenwieser to Castigate Nazis?

THE CHICAGO ALL AMERICAN Conference to
Combat Communism did not get much publicity.
It is good to report that the Anti-Defamation League

Veterans, however, were very much present. And so
was the American Jewish League Against Communism.

be made an honorary member of the Conference.
His resolution was overwhelmingly carried.

of Benjamin Buttenwieser's speech on the denazifi-

It waS of course a masterpiece of
blundering by the masterminds of
the Anti-Defamation League.
What did they expect from the
man who is partly responsible for
carrying out the so-called denazifi-
cation program?
Buttenwieser is a very wealthy
Jewish banker who never paid any
attention to 'Jewish matters. He
approves of the policy of strengthen-
ing Germany and of utilizing in this
process Nazi human material. Biron
The ADL should know by now that if you oppose
renazification you can't expect the U.S. government to
give you the green light.

composed nor solved, as Dr.
Goldmann said, but they have
now been crystallized into
sharper opposition than they have
ever been.
Is American Zionism to become
a satellite of Israel, or remain an
independent member in the new

ALTHOUGH DR. NAHUM GOLDWAN, plentipoten-
tiary head of the American Section of the Jewish
Agency, claims that the Israel government and the
World Zionist movement have now reached perfect
understanding as to a division of functions, tnobody out-
side of Dr. Goldmarrunderstands what this consists of.
Joseph P. Kamp, the notorious anti-Semite and
head of the Constitutional Educational League, who is
now in jail, is the real author of Sen. McCarthy's ex-
pose on "Reds on the Government Payroll."
Wonder if the rank and file knows that V. P. Bark-

functions is one of the most expensive speakers in the •

times more) plus expenses just for whatever "prestige .'
