Clothes for Children
City's Clubs
to Give Dinner
for Barkley

The vice-president of the
United States, Alben W. Barkley,
will be the guest of honor at a
dinner at Franklin Hills Country
Club, Wednesday, May 31, spon-
sored by the community's coun-
try and city clubs.
Knollwood Country Club and
the Franklin Hills Country Club
are arranging the function, in
cooperation with the Standard
Club, Great Lakes Club and the
Downtown Club as a tribute to
Vice-President Barkley's services
on behalf of the United Jewish
Appeal and other humanitarian
causes.
Vice-President Barkley is a
member of the National Christian
Committee for the United Jewish
Appeal.
The Jewish Welfare Federation
is joining in sponsorship of the
dinner.
