With the objective of setting a new day's record for a group blood donation to the Detroit Re- gional Red Cross Blood Center, Bnai Brith lodges and chapters will hold a blood bank rally at 7 p. m., Tuesday at Workmen's Circle. The present record is held by employes of the Cadillac Motor Car Co., who gave 190 pints through the blood mobile unit on Nov. 16, 1949, following a contribution of 181 pints the preceding day. Sparking the drive for a new record will be Leo Polk, Bnai Brith blood bank chairman, who has given eight gallons of blood since Pearl Har- bor and will contribute another pint on May 2 to start his ninth gallon. Marshall Lodge At the meeting held on April 18, Karl Berg was nominated for president of the lodge for the ensuing year. The date has not yet been set for the scholarship and trophy awards for the best essay on "Brotherhood" at Wayne University.
