Engagement Announced

Final Group
Meetings Set
by Hadassah

Detroit chapters of Hadassah
will hold their last group meet-
ings of the season Tuesday. New
group officers for next fall will
be elected.
University west and Bagley
will meet at Northwest Hebrew
Congregation for a child welfare
luncheon, an Israeli supplies
shower and a comedy play.
Wyoming will meet at Beth
Aaron. The program will include
Wyoming's first birthday party,
a child welfare luncheon, a skit
by Wyoming players, an Israeli
supplies shower and a review of
current events by Mrs. A. Elazar.
Central east: The place of
meeting will be announced later.
Luncheon will be served, an Is-
raeli supplies shower held, and
Moe Kesner will present dra-
matic Yiddish readings and songs.
University east and Sherwood
will meet at MacGregor Library
for luncheonette, shower in honor
of Israeli brides, folk dancing and
a book review.
Southern Oakland County will
meet at the home of Mrs. Melvin
Yoffee, 13130 Sherwood road, to
hear Haskell Lazere discuss the
work of the Anti-Defamation
League. Movies will be shown,
and dessert luncheon served.
Central west will meet at Bnai
Moshe for a child welfare lun-
cheon and an original operetta
based on Sullivan's "Trial by
Jury."
Russell Woods east and west
will meet at the Young Israel
Center for a child welfare lun-
cheon, an-Israel supplies shower
and a program featuring "The
Year in Review."
Reservations are now being
taken by group chairmen for the
1950 central States Regional
Conference April 22-25 in Grand
Rapids.
The Conference will include a
banquet with Marie Syrkin as
guest speaker.
