Yiddish Novelist

A reception in honor of the
famous Jewish novelist, Joseph
Opatoshu, has been arranged by
the joint cultural committee of
the Labor Zionist Schools, the
Sholem Aleichem Institute and
the Workmen's Circle School.
This celebration will mark the
40th anniversary of the novelist's
career.
Joseph Opatoshu will deliver
an address on the topic: "Salta-
tion — the motif through the
two thousand years of diasporic
life," at 9 p.m., Friday at the
Workmen's Circle Center.

"Cigarets" ("Papirosen") Sunday
