Pioneer Head Says Israel
Will Bring Peace to World

"From Israel will come peace
and understanding, not only for
our state, but for all mankind."
That was the belief expressed
by Mrs. Israel Goldstein, na-
tional pi esident of Pioneer
Women, at their 19th annual
donor event Dec. 14 at Masonic
Temple. The affair, attended by
sonic 2.000 people, celebrated
Pioneer Women's 25th anniver-
sary.
"NATURAL IVEDDING"
Mrs. Goldstein described the
state of Israel as a "natural wed-
ding" between the Jews and their
homeland. Only one thing, the
dowry, is missing from the wed-
ding, she said, and that must
conic from American Jews.
Another natural wedding is the
naming of Jerusalem as capital of
Israel, Mrs. Goldstein said. She
expressed regret, however, that
the event had to be done in de-
fiance of the United Nations.
"There is no color line whatso-
ever in Israel," she asseretd, re-
ferring to the immigration of
dark skinned Yemenites and
Chinese Jews.

ALL MEN EQUAL
"That little Israel will yet teach
the world that all men are equal,"
she declared.
The donor event, which was
dedicated to the Pioneer Women's
youth and children's village in
Ain Karem and the child rescue
program of Moazat Hapolot, also
featured singing by Cantor Rob-
ert Segal and humorous recita-
tions by Zvee Scooler.
Mrs. Harry Kay, chairman,
greeted the audience and guests.
Mrs. Michael Miclilin, council
chairman, and Mrs. Samuel White,
Moazat Ilapoalot chairman, also
addressed the audience.
