Temple Israel
Women Plan
Hospital Visits

Plans Spring Wedding

Hospital visiting will be the
primary function this year of
the Young Women's Committee
of Temple Israel Sisterhood, ac-
cording to Mrs. Jerome Arta,
chairman.
They are offering their services
to Children's Hospital and Dear-
born Veterans under the guid-
ance of Mrs. Jacob Citron and
Mrs. Albert Jaco.
The committee members will
be given a series of orientation
lectures by various physicians
and a course in occupational
therapy.
They will also assist in the
Sisterhood's braille work, under
the sponsorship of Mrs. Nathan
Kolb.
The Sisterhood holds monthly
bake shops to finance these pro-
jects.

Abe Silbersteins Mark
42 Years of Marriage

Mr. and Mrs. Abe Silberstein
of Boston boulevard celebrated
their 42nd wedding anniversary
Dec. 11 at a family dinner.
Their daughter and son-in-law,
Mr. and Mrs. E. Richmond of
Chicago, celebrated their 23rd
anniversary the same day. They
were house guests of their
parents.

Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Hechtman of Sherbourne road announce
the engagement of their daughter Sally Ann to Graham Orley,
son of Mr. and Mrs. George Orley of Warrington drive.
Miss Hechtman attended the Unversity of Michigan where
she was a member of Sigma Delta Tau.
The couple will be married in the spring.

200 Attend
Prenzlauer's
Donor Event

Approximately 200 women at-
tended the Eva Prenzlauer Ma-
ternity Aid's 17th annual donor
luncheon at the Book-Cadillac
Hotel last week.
The group, which gives help
to needy expectant mothers, was
greeted by Mrs. Samuel M. Sam-
uels, president. Mrs. Eva Ellen-
stein gave the invocation.
Featured event of the affair
was a dancing show presented by
the Ricardeau School, Mrs. Ersel
Hower presiding.
Mrs. Morrie Mendelsohn was
chairman of the luncheon. Mrs.
Joseph York introduced the co-
chairmen.
The drawing of door prizes
was supervised by Mrs. Herman
Lutchansky.

of Rochester avenue, and Abraham Louis Levine, son of the Saul
Levines of Buena Vista avenue, were married Oct. 30.
The bride chose a gown of white satin with a collar of seed
pearls. Her fingertip veil was edged with chantilly lace. She carried
white orchids.
Estelle Kraus and Bernice Zacks were honor attendants. Mitzie
Gaum and Sylvia Barrish were bridesmaids.
Hy Levine served as best man for his brother. Saul Smith and
Paul Borman ushered.
The couple is living on Buena - Vista avenue after a New York
honeymoon trip.
