Engagement Announced

Adele Rycus Wed
in Afternoon Rites

At an afternoon ceremony Nov.
20 held at the home of her aunt,
Mrs. J. Ziff of Atkinson avenue,
Adele Rycus became the bride
of Stanley Schechter.
Miss Rycus is the daughter of
Mrs. S. Rycus of Monterey ave-
nue. Mr. Schechter is the son
of the Julius Schechters of Flint.
The bride 'chose a gown of
white satin fashioned with a lace
yoke. Her fingertip length veil
was made of illusion and match-
ing lace. She carried a white
Bible topped with white orchids.
RiVa Wasserman was maid-of-
honor. Arnold Schechter, brother
of the bridegroom, was best man.
After a trip to Washington,
D.C., the couple will live on
Ohio avenue.
Preceding her wedding the
new Mrs. Schechter was honored
at showers given by her aunts,
Mrs. Fay Glassman and Mrs.
Samuel Stahl.
Riva Wasserman, Blossom Ja-
cobs and Mrs. Bernard Rosen-
berg also honored the bride at
a shower.
Mrs. J. Ziff, Mrs. F. Stein and
Mrs. A. Max also entertained at
a shower for the bride.

Mr. and Mrs. Edward Quint
and Dr. and MrS. Harold T. Ratt-
ner will entertain at two dinners
at lloylers Jan. 13 and 14.

Mrs. Charles Gorman of Chi-
cago blvd. is visiting her chil-
dren in Philadelphia.

BEVERLY LASTAR



Mr. and Mrs. Eugene H. Lastar of Sturtevant avenue announce

the engagement of their daughter Beverly to Dr. Robert P. Natel-
son, son of the Nate Natelsons of Burbank, Cal.
The news was revealed at a cocktail party given by the bride

elect's parents. —
Miss Lastar attended Wayne University and is now a junior
at the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Natelson is a resident physician
at University General hospital in Madison, Wis. He is a member
of Phi Delta Epsilon, national medical fraternity.
The couple will be married March 4.

Whitcomb avenue is visiting in
Hot Springs. Ark.
