At a family wedding held Nov.
20 at the home of her sister and
brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
A. J. Newman of Santa Barbara
drive, Florence Black became the
bride of Ernest Schwartz.
Rabbi Jacob Segal officiated.
The couple flew to New York
and then boarded a boat for a
Carribean cruise.
Before her marriage the new
Mrs. Schwartz was honored at a
dinner given by Mrs. Abe Gur-
win, Mrs. Joseph Grant and Mrs.
Sam Frankel.
A shower was given for the
bride by Mrs. Bert Smokier and
Mrs. Samuel Miller. Mrs. Mary
Wilson entertained at a brunch
for her, and - Mrs. A. J. Blumenau
and Mrs. L. Mann were hostesses
at luncheon for the former Miss
Black.

At an evening ceremony Nov. 22 at Knollwood Country Club,
Marcia Lois Alper became the bride of Donald Allan Krupp. Rabbi
Morris Adler officiated.
The bride's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Henry Alper of Freeland
avenue. Mr. Krupp is the son of the Carl Krupps of Cherrylawn
avenue.
The bride wore a gown of ice blue satin and chantilly lace.
Her fingertip length veil was trimmed wth matching lace and fell
from a cap studded with rhinestones and pearls.
Lenore Alper was matron of honor for her sister-in-law. Ger-
aldine Krupp, the bridegroom's sister, was maid of honor. Nancy
Mendelson, Geraldine Fishman and Sandra Mark were bridesmaids.
Bruce Shatanoff was best man. Ushers were Phillip Alper and
Robert Alper, brothers of the bride, and Arnold Aisen, Yale Phillips,
Marshall Greenberg and Morrie Mendelson.
The couple is honeymooning in New York. They will live at
17545 Meyers road.

Dr. and Mrs. Morris E. Bachman of Parkside avenue announce
the engagement of their daughter Eleanor Blanche to Irving Laker,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Laker. Miss Bachman attended Highland
Park Junior College, the University of Miami and Wayne University.
Mr. Laker is a senior at the University of Michigan where,he is a
member of Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity. The couple will be married
in June.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Herschberg of Los Angeles announce the
engagement of their daughter Joyce to Joseph Lefton, son of Mr.
