Folk Chorus
to Hold Dinner
The seventh annual donor
luncheon of the Jewish Folk
Chorus will be held at 12 noon
Tuesday, Nov. 29 at the Mayfair
Dining Room, Dexter and Davison
avenues.
Ruth Goldman, soprano will
present Yiddish and Palestinian
folk songs, accompanied by Rose
Bassin Stein. Florence Kutzen,
pianist, will play and Al Nicha-
min will give impersonations.
Mrs. Walter Litt is chairman
of the luncheon committee with
Mrs. Rose Levine is co-chairman
and Mrs. Morris Citrin as finan-
cial secretary. Other committee
members are Mesdames Morris

Beth Aaron Sunday School will
start a series of monthly brunches
for the parents of the Sunday
School pupils, M. Pomerantz,
board chairman, announced.
The first brunch will he held
at 10 a. m. Sunday.
The guest speaker will be Ber-
nard Isaacs, superintendent of
the United Hebrew Schools who
will speak on the "Future of Jew-
ish Education."
Brunch will be served free by
board members Mesdames M. Le-
vine, S. Docks, N. Feld, J. Schnei-
der and M. Pormentz, I. Katz, M.
Silverman and 1)r. M. Last.
The purpose of the brunches is
to afford a social educational
hour for the parents while their
children attend the Sunday
School.
Louis Margolis, past president
of the Israel Club, has turned
over his chair to the newly elect-
ed president, Samuel Droznick.
During Margolis' regime, the
club raid over $4,500 for Israeli
projects, which included a field
kitchen to the Material for Israel,
$1,250 to the Histadrut, $1,000 to
the Jewish National Fund.
In addition $1,500 was contrib-
uted to the United Jewish Appeal
of which a sizable percentage is
allocated to Israeli use.
