`Julius Caesar'
at Wayne Theater

The Wayne University Theater
announces its first stage produc-
tion of the season, William Shake-
speare's "Julius Caesar," to be
presented at 8:30 p.m., Nov. 11
and 12 at the Institute of Arts
auditorium.
Under the direction of Leonard
Leone, the play will receive its
first Detroit performance since
1931 when the late Fritz Leiber
and Tyrone Power Sr. appeared
at the Cass Theatre with the Chi-
cago Civic Theater.
The acting script utilized by
the Wayne University Theater is
the product of the scholarship of
Dr. Leo Kirschbaum of the uni-
versity's English Dept. and a na-
tionally known expert on Shakes-
pearean texts.
This basic editing has served
to clarify certain obscure words
and phrases. Only two hundred
lines have been deleted from the
entire play.
Tickets are on sale at the
Wayne ticket office, room 224,
4841 Cass avenue. Reservations
may be had by calling TE. 1-1450,
ext. 165.
