credit of $20,000,000 to Israel for
industrial development was
granted by the Export-Import
Bank as part of the $100,000,000
loan set aside for Israel last
January.
The present allocation brings
the amount allocated to Israel
under the loan up to $73,000,000.
The loan is to be repaid in 15
ears with interest at the rate
of 3 1i percent.
About 250 Israeli firms which
need American equipment, ma-
terials or service either for ex-
nansion or new production will
benefit from the credit.

-NEW PORK—(YIVNA)—Two

prominent Jewish leaders, Ber-
nard Baruch and Dr. Abba Hillel
Silver, publicly repudiated the ac-
cusations of bigotry and intoler-
ance made against Republican
senatorial candidate, John Foster
Dulles.
Baruch said that he knew in
rersonal life Mr. Dulles was not
a bigot, while Dr. Silver claimed
that Dulles had always been a
staunch supporter of Israel.
At the same time Dulles de-
clared that he would not repudi-
ate the UN resolution on Jerusa-
lem because it was adopted
"largely at the insistence of the
U.S. delegation which I was head-
ing." This was a reply to a ZOA
demand that both senatorial can-
didates denounce the U.S. posi-
tion on Jerusalem.
