The rites were performed on
Sunday morning, Oct. 30 by
Rabbi Morris Adler.
Doctor White is the son of of
Mr. and Mrs. Frank White of
Hazelwood avenue. Following a
brief honeymoon, Dr. and Mrs.
White will make their home in
Detroit.

Arthur Danto Leaves
for Studies in Europe
October birthday celebrators at
the Jewish Home for Aged were
entertaining a party on Oct. 27,
it was announced by Dr. Benja-
min Welling, chairman of the
recreation committee.
Emile Jones sang Yiddish and
English songs. He was accom-
panied by Ted Sheely, Ethel Pe-
terson,.a concert pianist, played
several classical selections. The
residents of the home were led
in group singing by Morris Kes-
ner, staff music therapist. Molly
Shaw accompanied the singing.
Refreshments were served by
the women's auxiliary, whose
president is Mrs. Samuel Zeldes.
Mrs. J. Rose is chairman of the
birthday committee.
Arthur C. Danto, former De-
troiter, who has been working
on his Ph.D. in philosophy at Co-
lumbia University, sailed for
Europe with his wife, the former
Shirley Rovetch.
Danto, who received the Gold
Honor Key at Wayne University,
will continue his studies in Paris.
He is a veteran of four years'
service with the Fifth Army and
is known for his woodcuts, which
have been exhibited in museums
throughout the country.
Making her home at 2224 Ping-
ree avenue is Mrs. Mollie Ittig-
son who had been residing in Mid-
land.
Mrs. Lloyd Elden who is one of
the assistant secretaries to Mrs.
Franklin Roosevelt at Lake Suc-
cess, N. Y. spent last week-end in
Detroit visiting relatives.

For her wedding the bride chose a gown of white chantilly lace
over white satin, with a draped tunic and large hooped skirt. Her
fingertip veil of illusion was draped over a small bonnet of match-
ing chantilly lace, accented by seed pearls and orange blossoms on
each side. She carried a white pearl Bible covered with white
orchids and stephanotis.
Mrs. Phillip Nolish of Saginaw, the groom's sister, was matron
honor. Betty Levin. the bride's cousin, was maid of honor, and
Gladys Zate, Mrs. Jerry Grushoff, Dolores Zate, and Estelle Wein

Dr. Phillip Nolish of Saginaw, the groom's brother-in-law, was
