The members of Music Study
Club of Detroit will meet for
luncheon, Wednesday, Nov. 9, at
the home of Mrs. Jay Rosenshine

Detroit and David Krupp, bari-
tone, of Muskegon, who will be
heard in their Detroit debut at
the Detroit Institute of Arts Dec

dames Abe Brasch, president;

Halloween Eve
The Jewish Community Coun-

Police Commissioner Harry S.
Toy that the police department
will again this year extend every
effort to prevent a recurrence of
acts of malicious vandalism di-
rected against distinctively Jew-
ish-owned business establish-
ments during the Halloween sea-
son.
During the course of Halloween
observances in the past, stores in
the Twelfth street, Linwood and
Dexter areas have suffered from
the destructive conduct of an ap-
parently organized attempt to 11
single out Jewish business estab-
lishments.
ACID THROWN
In all cases damage done was
far in excess of that ordinarily
associated with Halloween mis-
chief, and most frequently con-
sisted of painting an acid on the
show windows which left a per-
manent blemish and made it
necessary to replace the glass.
Special police details patrolled
the area last year and a subse-
