DETROIT JEWISH CHRONICLE'

-

time both stimulating and ex-
citing and filled with more
promise and hope for a better
world than we have ever had in
the past. I believe that the av-
erage American "teenager" is
today further advanced socially,
educationally, psychologically,
and is determined that we as a
people, shall, in a peaceful man-
ner, achieve our own longed for
democratic objectives and goals,
but I am also firmly convinced
that the average American teen-
ager" today can no longer be
deluded by propaganda such as
that which is daily ground out
by the Communist propaganda
machines both here and abroad.
"I believe, in short, that
through the help of the youth of
today we shall know a better
world tomorrow.
"The delay in this note of ap-
preciation, I know you will un-
derstand. The volume of mail
received daily in my Congres-
sional office has persistently
kept me in arrears in my cor-
respondence.
"With best wishes to you, I
am,
Sincerly yours,
(Signed)
Franklin D. Roosevelt, Jr."
