JWF Women Slate Election

More than 400 Detroit Jewish
woinen are expected to attend the
annual meeting of the women's
division of the Jewish Welfare
Federation at 1 p.m. Wednesday,
Sept. 28 at the Detroit Institute of
Arts.
The meeting will feature a
buffet luncheon, "Stay-Home"
Tour, election of officers and Col-
lection Day.
Nominated for the division
presidency, to succeed Mrs. Max
Frank who will preside at Wed-
nesday's meeting, is Mrs. Leonard
H. Weiner, who has served as
vice-president. Nominated with
Mrs. Weiner for vice-presidents
are Mesdames Hyman C. Broder,
John C. Hopp, Harry L. Jones and
Nate S. Shapero.
Mrs. Eugene J. Arnfeld has
been nominated for recording sec-
retary and Mrs. Samuel S. Aaron,
corresponding secretary.
NOMINEES TO BOARD
Nine members have been nom-
inated for a first term on the
board of directors. They are Mes-
dames Lawrence A. Fleischman,
Ivor J. Kahn, Sidney Ka•bal,
Louis Manning, Arthur Purdy,
Charles Robinson, Isidore Sobel-
off, Raymond Sokolov kind Frank
Wetsman.
On the slate for a second term
are Mesdames' Jack Behrman,
Louis Glasier, William B. Isen-
berg, Harry L. Jones, Daniel
Krouse, Nathan B. Schermer and
Carl S. Schiller.
The nominations were proposed
by a committee headed by Mrs.
Seymour J. Frank. Working with

ish Campaign pledges.
