Q(). . SEPTEMBER rolls in with
the majority of us already
classifying it as autumn. I re-
gret the passing of our lovely,
hot summer days.. .. A consola-
tion is that September is classed
by the almanac with the summer
months because more than two-
thirds (+the days are still longer
than nights.
Baseball fans insist that Sep-
tember is still a continuation of
summer. On the other hand,
however, the football will soon
be tossed 'round and that means
fall. .
Sept. is greeted with open arms
by the fuel dealers and clothing
merchants who start ringing the
cash register as the chilly weath-
er sets in.

chiatrist, who recently returned
from a trip to Europe and Israel,
will give an account of his trip
to the Jewish State at the meet-
ing of Chapter 1, Zionist Organ-
ization of Detroit, at the North-
west Hebrew Congregation at 8:30
p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, Lillian
Tron and Lena Sitrin, program
chairmen, announced.
Dr. August is president of the
Southern Oakland County Zionist
District and past-president of the
ZOD. He has been associated
for many years with the Zionist
Organization and has a thorough
understanding of the problems
which confront the infant Jewish
State.
The meeting will also feature
one of the latest films, "Home-
coming, 1949."
Non-members are also cordially
