Betrothed to Doctor

Steven Sloman and Mrs. Har-
riet Schwartz of Wildemere ave-
nue have returned from a two
month sojourn in New Milford,
Conn. They visited at camp with
the former's aunt and uncle, Mr.
and Mrs. Anthony Marlowe,
formerly of Detroit.
Mr. and Mrs. Marlow will sail
for Genoa, Italy, this month, with
stops at other European points
before returning to New York
City.

Mr. and Mrs. Lou Altus and
their daughter Marilyn have re-
turned to their Tyler avenue
home from a northern Michigan
vacation during which .hey visit-
ed Charlevoix and Mackinac Is-
land.

Back from a stay in Charlevoix
are Mr. and Mrs. Fred S. Green
of Boston boulevard west.

Mr. and Mrs. Morris Steiner
and their children are back from
a month's motor trip to Los
Angeles where they were the
guests of Mrs. Steiner's parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Blackman,
formerly of Detroit.

Mr. and Mrs. David Riseman
of Manderson road and Mr. and
Mrs. Wilbur Spitz of Santa Rosa
drive have returned from a three
week vacation at Breezy Point
Lodge, Minn.

Judith Davidson exchanged nuptial vows with Martin Herman,
on of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Herman of Highland avenue, at an eve-
ning ceremony, Aug. 9 at Congregation Beth Shmuel.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Davidson of
Blaine avenue.
Rabbi Jacob Segal offfciated at the ceremony.
For her marriage the bride chose a traditional sown of white
satin. It Was fashioned with a peter pan collar appliqued with seed
pearls. Her fingertip veil fell from a crown trimmed with pearl
dusters. She carried a white Bible adorned with a white orchid.
Mrs. Leon Sherman was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were
Mesdames Sigmund Moses, .Harold Langberg and Leonard Herman
and the Misses Phyllis Davidson and Alice Jean Harris.
Serving as his twin brother's best man was Leonard Herman.
Ushers were Bertram Harris, Leon Sherman, Sigmund Moses,
Harold Langberg and Arnold Davidson.
The couple spent their honeymoon at Pewaukee, Wis. and
Chicago. They are residing on Waverly avenue.

Israel C. Elson announce their
marriage on Sept. 1 in Detroit.

Jacob Grodman of Elmhurst
avenue and his daughter, Mrs.
Irving Appleblatt, have returned
from a weekend in Chicago
where they visited their children

Mary and Dorothy Glasier,
daughters of the Louis Glasiers of
Warrington drive have returned
from a visit with relatives in
Chatanooga, Tenn.

Spending a few weeks in
Charlevoix is Mrs. Samuel Arkin
