visit to Israel. Mrs. Halperin at-
tended meetings of the Jewish
committee, the board of governors
of the Hebrew University, and
participated in the opening of the
Hebrew University-Hadassah
Medical School in Jerusalem.

RESIDED IN PALESTINE
In the course of the two decades
during which she has served
Hadassah. Mrs. Halperin has been
twice national president

For a five year period she re-
sided in Palestine• acting as liai-
son aide between Hadassah in the
U. S. and the medical organiza-
tion and Hadassah council in
Palestine.

She took part in the historic
meeting of the Zionist executive
which announced the Yishuv's in-
tention of proclaiming its inde-
pendence.
