Dr. and Mrs. Peter Bernstein announce the engagement of their
daughter Jacquelin to Dr. Arthur Eckhous, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Isadore Eckhous of New York. Miss Bernstein attended the Uni-
versity of Southern California. Her fiance is a graduate of the
Tulane University medical school. The couple plan a November
wedding, after which they will reside in Detroit.

Charts Brunch

Temple Israel Youth will be-
gin its season's program with a
brunch meeting at 12 noon, Sun-

Council Position

Blanche Parent Wise is seeking
election to the Common 'Council.
In presenting her program, Mrs.
Wise covers recreations, city im-
provements, efficiency and econ-
omy, protection for taxpayers,
DSR and DPW.
A native Detroiter, Mrs. Wise
is associated with Hettche Motor
Sales. She is a member of many
local organizations. Mrs. Wise is
the mother of five children.
